Mahindra XUV 9e and BE 6e: Key Details You Should Know About the Latest Electric Vehicles

Mahindra has introduced its BE 6e and XUV 9e electric SUVs, built on the cutting-edge INGLO platform. These models boast futuristic designs, dual battery configurations (59kWh and 79kWh), a driving range of over 500 km, and advanced features such as triple displays and ADAS technology. Additionally, the first owners will benefit from a lifetime battery warranty.

Mahindra & Mahindra has introduced two new electric SUVs, the XUV 9e and BE 6e, built on the company’s advanced INGLO platform, designed exclusively for electric vehicles. The BE 6e is priced from ₹18.90 lakh, while the XUV 9e starts at ₹21.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Both models are set to launch in January 2025, with deliveries expected to commence in February 2025.

The XUV 9e boasts a sleek coupe-SUV design, highlighted by its sloping roofline and unique triangular headlamp configuration. It stretches 4,789 mm in length and offers ample storage with 663 liters of boot space and an extra 150 liters in the front trunk. On the other hand, the BE 6e showcases a more refined and sculpted design, featuring a clean, minimalist front end. It is 4,371 mm long and provides 455 liters of rear boot space along with a 45-liter front trunk for added practicality.
 
Both SUVs come with two battery pack options: 59 kWh and 79 kWh, utilizing LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) chemistry. According to Mahindra, the larger 79 kWh battery delivers a real-world driving range of over 500 km. Fast charging capability allows both models to recharge from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes using a 175 kW DC fast charger. The XUV 9e, equipped with the 79 kWh battery, generates 286 hp and 380 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds. Similarly, the BE 6e with the same battery configuration delivers 288 bhp and 380 Nm of torque, matching the 0-100 km/h sprint time of 6.7 seconds.

Inside, the XUV 9e features a 43-inch triple-screen setup. The BE 6e has a dual 12.3-inch floating screen layout. Both models include advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), a 360-degree camera, and a two-spoke illuminated steering wheel. Other features include an auto-adjusting heads-up display, ambient lighting, and an illuminated infinity roof.
